I am over the moon excited to share that I’m moving to Scotland in September to pursue a Master’s in Medieval English at the University of St Andrews!!!
SCOTLAND!! Can you believe it!?
If you know me, you know how much I love learning and how I’ve talked for years about going back to school in the UK. (We can blame my time Oxford for that.) Continuing my academic career with language and literature has been a long time coming, and God so kindly led me to St Andrews even when my original dream was a completely different school. St Andrews is a historic university in a tiny beach town in the Scottish Highlands, and ever since I visited Scotland in 2018, it's been a country that feels like home. Just before I found out I was accepted to my program, I saw a rainbow in the sky that felt like a promise of God’s faithfulness only minutes later.
I could go on and on about all God has done in the last year to teach me peace, patience, trust, and his faithfulness in this season of waiting and applications and figuring out my options. I’ve been surrounded by the BEST community — the way they've cheered me on, prayed with me, and walked through my uncertainty with me means the absolute world. I literally can’t express how intensely grateful I am for these friendships.
This year, I trusted God with my old dreams, and he made them feel brand new. I'm beyond excited for this next chapter and all it’ll bring. I’ll be posting plenty of updates about my adventures as I hit the books and return to my academic roots. Make sure to subscribe to my blog so my posts hit your inbox!
